How it Works

We will be your Grave Buddy and visit your loved ones' gravesite when you can't.

Once we have information on your loved one who has passed away, we will find their final resting place, drive to visit them, and provide you with a photo of their gravesite via either email or text. You will be able to select your preferred method of communication at checkout. This is our base offering. We have a number of other additional services we are happy to provide.

From looking up the grave marker location and pinning down the location, to helping you maintain the site, to saying words you wish you could deliver yourself but just can’t, we’ll be your Grave Buddy.

More specifically, here is a list of things we will do and won't do.

What your Grave Buddy can do:

  • Leave flowers so that others realize someone cared for them and your loved ones feel the same.

  • Size the floral arrangement to actually fit in a vase that is typically provided at a site.

  • Leave flowers with or without a vase at the gravesite.

  • Confirm your loved one's existence and site location within the Twin Cities area.

  • Give them a message from you verbally while at the gravesite.

  • Provide a photo of the drop off.

  • Visit within 10 days of arrangements being confirmed and tell you the time and date of visitation after the visit.

  • Visit a gravesite within a 15 mile radius of the St. Paul and Minneapolis -- please select a city to visit at checkout.
  • Take the guilt out of not being able to visit yourself

What your Grave Buddy won’t do:

  • Visit a gravesite alongside others--we will only visit when others are unable.
  • Leave non-biodegradable objects or memorabilia. We appreciate the Scout’s motto to leave a space better than we found it!

  • Visit unverifiable sites. If a person can’t be tracked down, or it involves us going on private property we don’t have permission to visit, we cannot be your Grave Buddy.

  • Provide the specific time of the visit before going. This is for the safety and well-being of those acting as a buddy. Although cemeteries are considered peaceful by our founder, they can turn spooky very quickly!

  • Visit a gravesite outside the 15 mile radius of the St. Paul and Minneapolis (for now).
